This notice explains how K·LAB Studio (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when we contact people at small businesses about our operational-systems work. We wrote it specifically for our cold B2B outreach, and we’ve tried to keep it honest and plain.
Who we are
K·LAB Studio, operated by Calebh Mariano. The data controller’s contact point is calebh@getklab.com. Our postal address is available on request and is included in every email we send.
What data we process
- Your name;
- Your professional email address;
- Your role/title and the company you work at;
- The public source where we found your professional contact (e.g. a company website or public business directory);
- Whether you opened, replied to, or unsubscribed from our email, so we can respect your choice.
We do not process special-category data, consumer data, payment data, or data about you outside your professional role. We do not buy “intent data” and we do not scrape login-walled networks.
Where we get it
From publicly available professional sources — company websites and public business directories. Because we collect it from these public sources rather than from you directly, we tell you about this processing at first contact (this notice and the email itself), as required by Article 14 GDPR.
Why, and our legal basis
We use your data to send you a single, relevant, personalised email asking whether a specific operational problem applies to your business. Our legal basis is legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (for UK recipients, UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and PECR). Our interest is finding the small number of businesses we can genuinely help; we balance it against your rights by keeping volume low, contacting you only in your professional capacity, being transparent, and making opt-out one click. We have carried out a Legitimate Interest Assessment and will share a summary on request.
How long we keep it
- Leads that don’t become conversations are purged on a regular schedule.
- If you opt out, we keep the minimum needed — essentially your email on a suppression list — so we never contact you again.
Who we share it with
No one for their own marketing. We never sell your data. We use a small number of processors strictly to operate (e.g. our database/email infrastructure), under data-processing terms.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing — we’ll stop immediately. See getklab.com/your-rights for the short version and how to exercise them.

Just reply to any email from us, or write to calebh@getklab.com. To stop emails instantly, use the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — for us that is the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), aepd.es.
